What is the price and scope of Statum Health’s services?

When you book a visit through Statum Health, contracted board-certified nurse practitioners are dispatched to your home, office, or other requested location. Our prices are transparent, $199, and all services performed during your visit are all included in the price. At the moment, we do not accept insurance, however we will provide you with the proper paperwork to submit for reimbursement through your plan. In the future, we plan to accept insurance directly through our seamless platform. Currently, our services are offered in the greater Center City area in Philadelphia, PA. Your practitioner may deem certain third party services necessary (such as lab work). These services do have additional charges but they will not be performed without your consent.

What is Statum Health?

Statum Health is a new way for you to seek low-acuity and urgent care. Through our seamless web portal and soon, mobile application, you can connect with a licensed nurse practitioner to come to your door at a time that is convenient for you. Most services can be dispatched within the hour! Avoid the drive to the doctor’s office or urgent care center and skip the waiting room. Now, we can come straight for you.

Statum Health is currently available from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday. Contact us if you need help booking your visit.

How much does a visit cost?

A visit booked through Statum Health is $199. We will soon accept insurance and be able to lower your payment to a co-pay. If additional services are required, these services will not be rendered without your discretion (e.g. lab work). Additional visits at the same location for friends and family will be $100.

Just for reference, here are estimated costs from traditional care providers:

Primary care doctor visits = ~$175 bill

Urgent care visits = ~$350 bill

ER visits = ~$2,000 bill

Who are the practitioners available through Statum Health?

All practitioners are independent contractors. Statum Health practitioners are licensed nurse practitioners with expertise treating pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. All practitioners are vetted and background checked to ensure quality of care. They are graduates of some of the most prestigious training programs in the US. Prior to your visit, you will be able to read a biography about your practitioner and see his/ her picture.

What kind of mobile device do I need to use Statum Health?

Our web platform is currently accessible via any internet capable device. We advise that you use an updated browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer. Mobile devices will be able to display the mobile version of our web platform. Mobile apps will be launching soon on iOS and Android.

What if I need emergency care?

Statum Health does not provide care for medical emergencies. If you are having or someone near you is experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.

Can I access my medical records from my Statum Health visits?

Email support@statumhealth.com to receive a summary of your previous visits. We will provide you with doctor's notes, labs, imaging results and superbills.

Does Statum Health keep medical records confidential?

We're committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your medical information and make sure we, at Statum Health, comply with all applicable privacy and security health information laws. All medical records are maintained in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. You may view your medical records securely and confidentially by emailing support@statumhealth.com Our privacy policies may be viewed at statumhealth.com.

How do I pay for my visits?

When you sign up using the Statum Health web portal, you'll provide your credit card information. Once you request a visit, your credit card will be charged automatically. Acceptable credit cards will include VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover Card. Please note, that cash is not accepted.

Can I request a male or female doctor?

Statum Health matches you with the nearest available practitioner. To request a practitioner of the same gender, please email support@statumhealth.com. We will do our best to meet your needs.

What if I need to cancel, reschedule, or refund my visit?

If you need to cancel your visit, your can do so by emailing support@statumhealth.com. Please note that some cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply. Our policy is as follows:

Where in my house does the visit take place?

Practitioners require a private setting in which to evaluate you to protect your privacy. We recommend that you be examined on the first floor of your setting in a living area to ensure comfort and adequate space.

Does my insurance reimburse me for my visit through Statum Health?

If you have a high-deductible plan with an HSA (Health Savings Accounts) or FSA (Flexible Spending Accounts), your visit can be charged to those accounts with tax-free dollars. We’re considered “out of network” for most commercial insurance plans at this time, and we do not currently accept Medicare or Medicaid. You may be able to get reimbursement through your insurance company by filing an invoice. Just ask us for one and we'll send it right over.

Some insurance companies do not cover home visits. We are working with major insurance providers to make visits booked through Statum Health even more accessible and affordable.

Does Statum Health prescribe narcotics?

No, Statum Health does not prescribe narcotics.
